Interior Designer

Interior Designer Role Responsibilities:
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited CIDA institution.

NCIDQ and LEED AP credentials desired.

5-10 years of proven experience in interior design.

Knowledge of commercial fabric codes with experience in ADA commercial codes.

Knowledge of furniture periods and architectural styles; Excellent color sense is a must.

Experience in high-end resort and boutique hotel properties is a plus.

Proficient in ACAD, Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.Sketchup, 3D Max, Homestyler or other 3D programs are a plus.

Posses strong verbal, written and visual communication skills with all levels of employees, consultants, and design management.

Aid in presentation packages, follow-up correspondence for specification orders, communications with industry vendors, and providing detailed information necessary for procurement.

Ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks and adjust work accordingly per project demands under the guidance of the Director of Interior Design.

Demonstrate creative abilities and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrate ability to work on a team seating and achieve results through collaboration and sharing.

Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate a high-level of maturity.

Must be quality minded, self-motivated.

Consistently bring new, fresh ideas to the team that are project appropriate.

Utilize knowledge of Hotel and Design Industry trends and approaches.

Aid in presentation packages.

Maintain accurate file information, specification sheets, and drawings.

Work well under pressure, be agile and easily adaptable to new direction based on project deviance.

Meet with and communication between vendors.

Assist in the preparation of plans and elevations utilizing AutoCAD or Revit.

Sourcing new furniture/fabrics/accessories.

Update and organize project files.

Maintain accurate file information, including dimensions and designs from Senior Designer or Director of Interior Design.

Assist in material selection, FF&E, pricing, and availability.

Maintains quality and efficiency for deliverables by achieving billable efficiency.
